If you are a Ukrainian refugee looking for support in Woking, The Lighthouse is here to help.
We’re working with Woking Borough Council, local individuals and organisations to provide a hub that helps Ukrainian refugees find support. We can help you get connected into the local community and to make friends with other people in a similar situation.
When: Tuesdays from 10.30am - 2.30pm.
Where: The Lighthouse, 8-10 High Street, Woking GU21 6BG.
Community, signposting, family support.
Citizens Advice 1:1s and workshops for housing and employment advice, including support with school, nursery and job applications.
Toddlers Group each week (10.30am).
Weekly Ukrainian Community Lunch (12.30pm).
Weekly English classes. We provide several beginners and intermediate/advanced classes for adults each week (various timings).
Ukrainian Community Choir each week (1pm).
Weekly workshops, including bracelet making, creating flowers and pottery decorating.
Regular Citizens advice talks - First Steps in the UK Social groups, a library and interpreters.
Friday evening Speaking Club from September 2024.
Weekly dance classes (talk to Irina)
Games and chat for teenagers during the school holiday.
Trips for families during the holidays.
