FUNDRAISE

Show your support for people in your local community and make a difference in their lives.

Are you an adrenaline seeker ready to challenge yourself?
A runner entering a race?
A baker, a quizzer, a brave person ready to shave your head?

Combine your creativity and skills to raise money for The Lighthouse with your friends, church, school or workplace.

By choosing to fundraise, you can help provide food for people in need, clothes and toys for a family who are financially struggling, or money advice to help someone get themselves out of debt.

You guys are angels. This food will last me at least a week and I don’t know where I’d be without it.

*Dan, Foodbank Guest

Fundraising FAQs

1. The best way to pay in sponsorship money.
Make an online payment via our website, bring cash or a cheque into one of our Lighthouse venues or run your fundraiser through JustGiving and we automatically receive your money.

2. How do I claim Gift Aid on sponsorships?
We need the first name, last name, home address and postcode of each sponsor. Please ensure that they tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsor form or on your online JustGiving page. Gift Aid can only be claimed from UK taxpayers over the age of 16. Gift Aid cannot be claimed if the sponsor is receiving something in return like a raffle prize.

3. Can The Lighthouse pay venue fees or cover insurance?
The Lighthouse cannot reimburse you for any out-of-pocket expenses involved in putting on an event, you may want to consider finding a sponsor.

4. Do you have any merchandise?
We have leaflets, videos, banners etc. Let us know what you need and we will do our best to help.

5. Can you provide prizes?
Unfortunately The Lighthouse cannot provide prizes. We suggest approaching local businesses and asking friends, family, and colleagues. If they require a letter of authority, email [email protected]

6. Can a Lighthouse representative attend my event?
We love to be involved in our supporters’ events but as a small team we can’t always attend. Email [email protected] with the details and we will try our best to be there.

7. I’m stuck for fundraising ideas, can you help?
For fundraising inspiration look at our fundraiser ideas, check out our social media or come into any of The Lighthouse venues for a chat!
