"Discovering The Lighthouse I was captivated by their community-driven ethos. Fuelled by my passion for customer service and connecting with people, I volunteered at The Cosy for over a year. When the opportunity to become manager arose, I embraced it wholeheartedly."
Leigh moved to the UK in 2005 from South Africa with her family. In South Africa her career started as a nurse in Trauma A & E before moving on to aeromedical evacuations repatriating patients all over the world. After flying for three years, Leigh managed emergency call centres before moving to the UK.
She’s worked in Travel Assistance, volunteered with her dog Baxter as a Pets as Therapy volunteer and managed a Debra charity shop.
