Barnsbury Centre Manager

Emma started as a Lighthouse volunteer at our youth drop in, Free16 in Barnsbury Lighthouse in 2021, and took over managing Barnsbury in October 2024. A typical day involves cooking, conversation and fun with residents of all ages in the community. She enjoys working with the volunteers who run the drop in morning, Senior Citizens tea and coffee, Free16, and Nurture group, and hopes to develop other projects to meet the needs of the local neighbourhood.

Emma is a wife, mum and a granny. She has extensive experience in caring for people with additional needs, parenting, youth support, mentoring and she has a particular interest in spirituality. This mix of skills helps her to care deeply for people and leads her to desire to use her experiences in supporting those who come along to The Lighthouse Barnsbury.
